Background & Credentials

Ranai Friedman completed her graduate work in New York City at Bank Street College and Hunter.  She has a Masters Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Learning Differences.  For the past 23 years Ranai has worked with children in a variety of different settings.  She has been teaching elementary school students as a Resource/Learning Specialist for both public and private schools for the past 15 years.  Ranai was working part-time as the Learning Specialist at Beit Rabban Day School on the Upper West Side, traveled overseas for 6 months and has now relocated her private-practice to Plainfield, NJ.       

Ranai holds a New York State Permanent Special Education Teaching Credential and is licensed to provide SETSS (Special Education Teacher Support Services).  Her lessons are tailor-made with emphasis in reading placed on strengthening comprehension, phonics & fluency.  She specializes in working with K-5 students who have learning differences such as dyslexia and/or ADD.
